We’re delighted to announce our newly formed partnership with Nene Park Trust.
Nene Park Trust is a registered charity with vision to be the region’s favourite Park, providing a permanent haven for heritage and wildlife and a wide choice of recreation activities for the people of Peterborough and the wider community.
Nene Park covers 1,750 acres of green space, and with an eye on education and impact on local people, reached 4,813 children through environmental education and outdoor adventure activities in 2019.
As well as recognised parts of the Park, such as Ferry Meadows and Thorpe Meadows, Nene Park includes some 500 acres of farm land. We have partnered with Nene Park under a share farming model to deliver more nature-friendly farming and in addition, to support the charity’s wider objectives around education, community engagement and environmentally-friendly farming.
This share farming agreement means that the costs and income that this enterprise generates will be shared between the charity and ourselves in a truly partnership-minded way.
Working in conjunction with Nene Park Trust, we’re expecting to have lots of exciting news and developments to share, and will keep you posted as this journey progresses.
